In short: The airport is very close to the city: tram line 2 links both terminals to Jean Médecin, in the heart of Nice, in under 30 minutes, then continues to Port Lympia. Taxis and a booked transfer are handy with luggage or a late arrival.

Your options

Tram (line 2)

Line 2 leaves from Terminals 1 and 2 and reaches Jean Médecin in under 30 minutes, with a tram every few minutes during the day; it continues to the port. Travel between the two terminals by tram is free. Buy tickets from the station machines.

Taxi

Taxis wait outside the terminals. The ride to the centre is short outside rush hour; always use the official rank.

Booked transfer

A driver meets you on arrival and drops you at your accommodation: handy for the pedestrian lanes of Old Nice, or to go straight to Monaco, Cannes or Antibes.

Our tips

  1. Check your arrival airport and terminal: some cities have several, far apart.
  2. Plan the journey before you leave: offline map and the exact address of your accommodation.
  3. Have mobile data as soon as you land (eSIM or a suitable plan) to follow your route or call a ride.
  4. Late arrival, children or bulky luggage: a booked transfer saves waiting and changes.
  5. Beware of unofficial drivers approaching travellers in the arrivals hall: use the official taxi rank.
