Data we process

1. Contact form

If you write to us, we receive your name, e-mail address and message. They are only used to reply to you (legal basis: your request, legitimate interest). Form messages pass through our hosting provider (Cloudflare, which runs the small sending program) and are then delivered to us by e-mail through our OVHcloud mailbox; they are not stored on the site. Messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted at most 12 months after the last exchange.

Questions typed into the “Any questions?” help bubble that it cannot answer are stored anonymously to improve this help: only the question text, the language and the month are kept (e-mail addresses, phone numbers and long sequences of digits are masked automatically; no IP address or cookie). They are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, then deleted once processed and at most 3 months later (legal basis: legitimate interest).

If you rate the site (1 to 5 stars, at the bottom of every page), only the rating is stored, in anonymous totals (number of ratings per star) kept with Cloudflare: no name, no text, no IP address. Your browser remembers the rating you gave, to avoid duplicates (legal basis: legitimate interest).

2. Audience measurement (anonymous, no cookies)

To know how many people visit the site and which pages interest them, we count page views with our own tool: for each page view, only the page address, the date, the name of the site you came from (for example a search engine or a social network) and the country (roughly derived from the connection by our hosting provider) are added to daily totals. No cookies, no IP address, no identifier: it is impossible to recognise you or follow your browsing. The totals are stored with Cloudflare and kept for at most 25 months (legal basis: legitimate interest; audience measurement exempt from consent under the French data protection authority’s (CNIL) guidelines).

You can object at any time on this device (nothing is sent either if your browser asks not to be tracked):

Your visits are counted (anonymously).

3. Hosting

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) processes technical connection data (IP address, browser, pages requested) to run and secure the site. This data may be processed outside the European Union, notably in the United States: Cloudflare is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and otherwise relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. It processes the data according to its privacy policy.

The site is funded through the Travelpayouts affiliate network and the Stay22 service (accommodation). If you accept in the cookie banner, Travelpayouts scripts, the Stay22 accommodation map and partner search engines (flights, hotels, cars…) may be loaded. They use trackers to attribute a booking to the site and show relevant offers. When you click a partner link, the partner’s site applies its own privacy policy. Travelpayouts is operated by Go Travel Un Limited, in Hong Kong: data from its trackers is processed under its privacy policy, including outside the European Union.

You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time: “Manage cookies” button at the bottom of every page, or the cookies page. The site remains fully usable without these trackers.

5. Remembering your choices

Your cookie choice is stored in your browser for 6 months, as is any objection to audience measurement. This information stays on your device.

So that you can pick up a search, your browser also keeps the list of partners you opened from the site (the partner, the place and the date, at most 30 lines; never what you book): this is the My history page. This list is never sent anywhere; you can clear it or turn saving off at any time on that page.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data.
  • We don’t use audience measurement tools that set trackers: our visit counter is anonymous and cookie-free.
  • We don’t handle any payment: bookings are made directly with partners.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to us via the contact page. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or your local authority.
