Travel eSIM in Brazil: connected from touchdown
In Brazil, you are outside the European Union: EU "roam like at home" rules don’t apply, and using your usual plan can be expensive. A travel eSIM is set up at home before you leave and works as soon as you land.

From the moment you arrive in Brazil
With data from touchdown, you can follow your route, call a ride or show your booking. What awaits you on arrival in our cities:
- Rio de Janeiro : Galeão International Airport is about 23 km from Copacabana: allow about an hour by road depending on traffic, by taxi, ride-hailing or bus. Santos Dumont airport, in the city centre, mainly handles domestic flights.
- São Paulo : Guarulhos International Airport is north-east of the city; a train (line 13) links it to the city's rail network, and taxis and ride-hailing are plentiful. Congonhas airport, more central, mainly handles domestic flights.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an eSIM in Brazil?
It isn’t compulsory, but it’s often the simplest option: outside the European Union, roaming on your usual plan can be expensive. Compare with your provider’s add-ons.
When should I install the eSIM?
At home, over Wi-Fi, a few days before leaving. You then switch it on when you land, simply by changing the line used for data.
Can I keep my number?
Yes: the eSIM is added alongside your usual SIM, which stays active for calls and texts. Just turn off its mobile data to avoid charges.
